Your privacy is important to us. Mowang is designed to keep your personal data private and secure — stored on your device and optionally synced via your own iCloud account.

1. Information We Collect

Mowang stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal data. The information you enter includes:

Contact names, relationships, and profile details
Gift and occasion records
Financial records (income, expenses, loans)
Personal notes and diary entries

This information never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

2. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Backup, your data is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework:

Your data is stored in your own iCloud account — not our servers
We cannot access your iCloud data
Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage
You can disable iCloud sync at any time

3. Face ID / Biometric Authentication

Mowang uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework for Face ID. We never access or store your biometric data. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS.

4. Apple Calendar Integration

If you enable calendar sync, Mowang requests permission to write events to your Apple Calendar. We only create events for occasions you have saved. We do not read your existing calendar events.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Mowang does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not track your usage, behavior, or location.

6. Data Export

You can export your data as CSV at any time. Exported files are shared directly from your device. We do not receive copies of exported data.

7. Children's Privacy

Mowang is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
